Tamir Bell made history in 2025 as the youngest person ever elected to the Rockford City Council at just 21 years old. A proud Rockford native, community organizer, and nonprofit leader, Tamir ran on a powerful platform of affordable housing, food access, and neighborhood revitalization.

He believes that “you are never too young to make a difference,” and has dedicated his life to proving it—empowering youth, standing up for working families, and building bridges across generations to help move Rockford forward.
